IMOLA – 2020 UCI Road World Championship Jersey

We are ready to celebrate the new UCI World Champion.

The 2020 UCI Road World Championships will always be remembered in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, originally due to take place in Switzerland between Aigle and Martigny. Home of the UCI; The race’s cancelation was deeply disappointing for the organisers, fans and rider alike. But ultimately the right decision.

The search for an alternative location seemed almost impossible to find, notwithstanding how little time there was to reorganise the entire event. After a select number of new venues were reviewed, IMOLA in Emila-Romagna was chosen; The race starting and finishing on the World – Famous Enzo & Dino Ferrari Race Track.

It seemed incredible that Italy, a country that had suffered so much during the pandemic, was stepping up to save the day; But Italy is special indeed, indeed, ironically the Symbol for the Italian Public that came to represent the Nations collective fortitude against the virus was the Rainbow homes would fly hand-made flags painted with rainbows and adorned with the Phrase – Andra Tutto Bene, Everything will be fine.

So as the riders chased after their very own Rainbow that weekend in late September the World witnessed a truly special event; A race in defiance of the odds and a spectacle that merged together sport, life and hope; Creating memories that would last forever.
