WHY WE CREATED REUSABLE FACE MASKS
Maybe not everyone knows that our factory is based in Bergamo, Italy. The same Bergamo that in early March was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic and has been, and still is, the hardest hit city in the whole country. We had to face this emergency and we had to do it fast because we were in the middle of it. People were desperate because it was impossible to find protective face masks, so we decided to do something and we converted our production department to produce them.
NATIONAL SANITARY INSTITUTE APPROVED WASHABLE FACE MASK
We worked hard for weeks to deliver masks first to our community in Bergamo, then to the rest of the country. We developed a surgical face mask that became certified by the National Sanitary Institute to be used also by doctors and staff in hospitals and a washable face mask with filter for the community use that we distributed to companies and private citizens.

FAQ
What is the Santini Reusable Face 10CV02 mask and how is it made?
Our washable face masks are an exclusively designed filter mask for use in the community, as indicated by the Ministry of Health Circular 0003572-P-18/03/2020. Paragraph 2 art. 16 Italian Care Decree. They are not suitable for sanitary use or workplace environments. The two layers of 100% polyester fabric house four layers of 100% TNT Polypropylene technology created with Spunbond and MeltBlown processes. Furthermore, both exterior layers are treated with DWR and Viroblock antiviral treatments to help reduce viral and bacterial persistence on the fabric (Antiviral efficacy test: ISO 18184).
Are the face masks sterilised?
No, the mask is not sterilised, but it has been treated with HeiQ Viroblock NPJ03 - an antimicrobial textile solution proven effective against human Coronavirus in tests. This treatment significantly reduces viral infectivity on the fabric within a few minutes and can last for up to 30 washes. To sanitise the mask further, it can be washed up to 30 times at 40°C or bleached with other sanitizers available on the market. For best results, we recommend drying the mask in a tumbler or steaming it with an iron after each wash to reactivate its anti-droplet/ antiviral properties.
How is the face mask packaged?
Our Santini face mask comes in plastic bags, each containing 10 pieces.
Can the mask be sold individually?
No, unfortunately the washable face masks have been packaged in lots of 10 and cannot be sold individually.
Can the face mask be used several times?
Washing your mask is easy, and you can do it up to 30 times without compromising its anti-drip and antiviral features. Simply pop it in the washing machine at 40° or wash by hand and place in the tumble dryer afterwards. Rest assured that with proper care, your mask will remain safe and effective for many uses.
What is the reference standard for the production of the 10CV02?
The 10CV02 is produced in accordance with the indications of the Circular of the Italian Health Ministry 0003572-P-18/03/2020. Paragraph 2 art. 16 Cura Italia Decree.
How do you wear the Santini washable face mask?
The mask is worn by handling it by the elastics. The head is passed inside both elastics and the highest elastic is positioned making it pass behind the head over the ears. The second elastic should be placed behind the neck. The mask must cover the nose and mouth well. We recommend touching the mask as little as possible once it is worn and removing it by touching only the elastic bands. Wash your hands well before wearing and after removing the mask.
