You don’t need one per se, but they certainly can make a huge difference. Why? Because you can perform all three disciplines in one kit and not have to change at any point. Whilst some triathletes will wear swimmers right the way through, a kit covers more skin and is ideal if you’re worried about sunburn or you simply prefer to be a little less exposed.
